Romney Could Be Nominated Earlier Because Of Ron Paul Supporters

I didn't say that. After all, It isn't as if we've had a lot of these types of posts.

And of course they're so useful - sort of like arguing about how much better a 1911 is compared to a Glock. :)

Why then do you waste your time, or is it that you like to argue Robert? I really don't understand it. You have stated numerous times that you hate all of these Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, or Alex Jones videos, but every time ArmyVeteran creates a new thread you come in to complain about something in the thread or belittle the OP. I'm no rocket scientist, but when I see a thread created by certain individuals I am pretty sure what the content is going to be without opening the thread. If really hated all of these videos I certainly wouldn't open up the thread that is sure to contain them. Life is too short to get riled up over some political video a guy posted in a forum. But hey, this is a pretty free forum. You are allowed to be cantankerous.

By the way, I prefer a 1911, but like and own Glocks too. :)

It's high time to kick the two gangs political parties out of power. Vote for a candidate that will work hard to protect our Freedoms, Rights and put the Republic back on the correct set of rails. Failure to vote for a Libertarian leaning candidates will further derail the recovery of this country.

If Ron Paul by some miracle gets the RNC nomination, then my vote will go that way. If not then I will vote for Gary Johnson. Either way these to men represent my views the best.

If the repubs don't find this disturbing it shows we're completely lost.

'Forget the will of the voters, we'll keep changing the rules until the image is what we want it to be...'

Maybe I am misunderstanding your post the the will of the voters is clearly, by a HUGE margin, for Mitt Romney to be the Republican nominee.

Great sentiment but you can never and will never do what you say you want to do by voting for candidates that cannot win nor will it happen in just a few Presidential elections...Presidential elections aren't even teh place to start; the place to start is city, county elections then state legislatures and governorships and then, perhaps, President.

The answer also isn't to kick the two political parties out of power because that will not happen either, the answer is to work within the party structure and mold the structure into a better shape.

You make changes by working on it; not by posting videos...not by posting threads in an internet forum or on Facebook...you make changes by knocking on doors and making phone calls and donating money and stuffing envelopes and staying in close contact with your local office holders and state office holders....maybe you are already doing all that and if so, great...if not, you need to.

We also need to get people to go VOTE! I've seen studies that show that less than 1/3 of eligible voters, including those who identify themselves as conservative or libertarian, are even registered; even fewer bother themselves to vote.

If we can't get allegedly concerned citizens to even register; how the hell will anything will change.

I'm glad to read you finally come to realize that it would take a miracle. I was beginning to think you were as mind numb as obama voters.

Now if you can only realize that a vote other than Ryan/Romney just helps BHO serve another four years and the people we elect really could care less about what you think.

BTW, MR also doesn't represent all of my views but he will have to do for now.

No one said otherwise, he will get the nomination. It reminds me of the elections behind the Iron Curtain.

The repubs are twisting and distorting their own rules to make it look prettier - if they're willing to do this for image, what are they willing to do to get him in the WH?

It's unnecessary, it's cheap, and it shows how desperate they are. It also shows how like the dems the repubs really are - do whatever it takes!

I think you miss the point that many of us are tired of the same song and dance of voting for the lesser of two evils, which is still voting for 'evil'. We've been doing this for decades and what has it brought us? Nothing good.

I know, I know, BHO is the devil incarnate and THIS election is THE MOST IMPORTANT EVAR. Like they all are.

If I truly thought I was wasting my time I would not be here at all; would you? If I participate in a thread it's because the subject is important to me and politics is one of those subjects.

If you look at my statement, I didn't complain about the videos and I didn't belittle Armyvet; at least, that wasn't my intent...I did poke some fun at the number of these threads but if that offends him then I apologize.

I made a statement that I suspect most people accept as factual. Does it really matter what day Romney officially receives the nomination? Does anyone here really believe that Romney is not the nominee? And if anyone believes that, is there any evidence from credible sources to support that? If such evidence exists then post it up and let's discuss it.

What I am mostly guilty of was getting goaded into responding to one member's post (the STFU comment)...had I realized who made the comment it would have been ignored. However, Tapatalk apparently doesn't recognize "ignore" settings; had I been logged on through the normal forum software rather than Tapatalk I would not of seen the comment I got drawn into

I don't much like any group or organization changing the rules mid-stream. However, I don't think we should lose sight of why they feel changing the rules is necessary...it is the Ron Paubots who have made it clear that, despite the will of the voters who overwhelmingly voted for Romney, the Paulbots seem to only want to disrupt the convention and cause as much trouble as they possibly can.

In my opinion, both groups are being irresponsible and neither has the moral high ground under them.

I agree. So much for 'presidential', eh?

Lesser of two evils, yay!

When you vote for the lesser of two evils, what makes you think you aren't just voting for the better of two liars?
I think where Obummer stands and what he want's and will try to do to destroy our country in a second term is pretty obvious; his lies notwithstanding.

I believe Romney has the country's best interests at heart and will act accordingly. If he is lying then he is lying but the choice, based on what we do know, seems pretty clear to me.

You have ZERO rights to freedom of speech on this board. The First Ammendment protects you from government abuses but not by private entities, which this board is.

Yes can say whatever you want but we can come in and edit it or remove it.

You and Robertnashville need to quit making a spectackle of yourselves in every thread you don't agree with. Both of you have pretty much the same views on this stuff but you insist on arguing with each other.

I was actually defending Robert's First Amendment rights. But, you are correct, this forum is not a democracy.

Point taken.

No, I didn't miss the point. I agree but the problems start at the local level and we seldom hear of libertarians and their ideas until it's a presidential election. Ron Paul has been preaching his message since the 70's, what has changed?

Read my signature, we've had the same or similar problems for decades. One election slings the crap into the left corner and the next election slings it into the right. They are all evil in one way or the other.

The country has been going down the socialism path since the 1930's; none of these problems are going to be changed quickly or easily or with any one man. Ron Paul has some good ideas on some issues but even were he elected, it would, at best, be a very tiny course change.

It's going to take a hell of a lot of work by a hell of a lot of people and I suspect that most people alive today won't even see the real results; assuming we can pull it off and return the country/government back to its Constitutional limits.
