I'm a student! I'm a Senior this year, but I won't be graduating in May like I had originally thought. there's a conflict between a class on my schedule that is required and another class that is required because they're offered at the same time, and the 2 classes after it aren't offered till spring, and I can't take them till I take the other class I can't get into lol, story of my life, but it's all good, I'll graduate in Dec 2013, patience is a good lesson for me anyhow, it's taught me a lot.

I'm studying Digital Media Communications with Art as a minor. I've accumulated 120 credit hours, but still 6 classes short of meeting my degree requirements. Almost there! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

I got hired for the 3rd year in a row to shoot photography for the MTSU Sidelines Newspaper, so I'll be shooting the MTSU Blue Raiders football, basketball and volleyball games this year. Totally excited! I also work for the Murfreesboro Post. :)

Congrats?

Indeed! I'll be using it to grab Popey's Chicken (I'm bringing my own Tabasco, though. Louisiana Hotsauce is too weak) and maybe chill while doing some quick review of class work. Oh, and use the student book store. Other than that, I won't need it since I'm not a part of any of the groups the actual rooms, offices, and computer labs were meant for. :)

My wife is a Graduate Assistant and mainly works in the BAS for one of the Information Systems professors as well as being a graduate student of course. She will graduate with her masters Degree by next summer. :woohoo::clap:

I'm trying to talk her in to going after a Ph.D next. Only problem with that is MTSU doesn't offer any Ph.D in Info Sys, so she'd have to transfer to another school. :-\

I'm an Info Sys student as well. It is the 3rd and last time I'll ever change my major! :wall:

I'm sorry

Hopefully you have a psychiatrist on hand and access to lots of medication that will calm your nerves and the ability to compartmentalize work.

Aw man, wish we had panda express when I went through MTSU. I would have killed massive amounts of orange chicken if they did.

Pretty much had chik-fil-a, a guy making some basic sushi, quiznos, and a pizza hut that you could only get like 3 different types of personal pan pizzas or breadsticks. There was a burger king in one of the communication buildings, but I only went there like twice...

Makes me wonder if I will be called out to help install new computers lol

These kind of facilities are the reason tuition cost have skyrocketed every year. Universities have to build these kind of buildings to compete with the other universities, thus higher tuition. We had nothing like that when I started there '67-'71. The arena opened in 72. The student body enrollment was about 9,000 then.

Yeah, tuition going up sucks. But we can't keep technology in 1930's, 60's and 70''s, so things need to be updated from time to time. :)

You need to account for the population growth as well. There are more than 25,000 students on this campus if I recall correctly, so it needs to grow in size to accommodate the increase.

FWIW...

They also recently broke ground and will be building an all new science building to be finished in 2015. The old science building was built in 1932.

Nice looking facility. Looks like a mall and an airport had a love child.

Is there still a 2 to 1 female to male ratio there?

:)
