Another Open-Carry Advocate Making Gun Owners Look Like Loons.

But he didn't break the law.

We don't need to send the police out everytime some Yankee that just moved down here sees something I don't like. I'm a Yankee by the way.

I just had two hundred members of the Small Penis Brigade ride by here on thier Harleys with loud exhaust blaring. Was it rude and inconsiderate as well as against the law? Yes. Did I cal the law. No.

Police need to be sent out every time a citizen sees something they don’t think is right. Carrying an ax down the street is legal, but if someone thinks you look suspicious doing it they will call the cops and the cops will go check it out. Stop for minute and imagine the kind of backlash there would be if a citizen called in a man with a gun and the dispatcher didn’t send someone and he opened fire on a bunch of people. It’s their job; it’s what they do. And if they handle it like this cop did there will be no problems.

I've followed this guys videos for some time now. It just simply amazes me how he walks around OCing an AR15 or MP5 clone.... It is interesting to say the least, but I do agree that he is just taunting LEO's for an altercation/attention.

I OC everyday because it is the most comfortable to me. I tried IWB concealing and it was just so uncomfortable. Besides, I'm a larger guy that carries a full size XD45... And I cannot really afford "something smaller". If I have confrontations with LEO, thats fine but I do not ask for it. It has become second nature to me to just throw on my serpa paddle and go...

You do realize that here in Tennessee it is ILLEGAL for anyone to carry any firearm. So if an officer sees you OCing he has a reasonable suspicion a crime has been committed.

It is only after his investigation that he determines you have a HCP which is a defense to breaking the law but upon initial contact he has every right to investigate a crime.

We are still breaking the law when we carry, both concealed and open, it is just the HCP gives us a legal defense to the law that we have broken.

Even LEO are breaking the law when they are carrying a gun on duty but the law provides that their position is a defense.

I agree with you all day long. I open carry all the time too. Plus right now I don't really have a choice; I just got a new carry gun. I'm waiting for my crossbreed supertuck in the mail.

I do whatever I'm most comfortable with. If I know in advance that I'm going somewhere there's going to be a lot of sheeple (women and children), I use a concealment holster. If I find myself at a place like that unexpectedly, I just pull my shirt over my gun and print like I've got 90's brick cell phone strapped to my hip.

In regards to open carry, no one has ever said anything negative to me about it and I've never gotten any bad looks. Perhaps its the size of the gun or maybe its my personality, lol. It's always very well received. When people do talk to me about it they always explain that they're happy that people other than crumbs are carrying too. My favorite is when they explain that they've been meaning to get their permit for a long time. I actually know quite a few now that I'm proud to say HAVE gotten their permits after a little guidance and encouragement. And don't worry, they conceal carry - wouldn't want to scare anyone! :)
