Torque driver/wrenches

Recommended Posts

I got this today in the mail today along with a 1/4 adapter with it. http://www.micro-tools.com/store/P-28506/Torquevarios-w-Window-Scale-1050-Lbs.aspx

I reset the torque on all 10/22 V-blocks.

The Brownells Torque driver I have is too big for 10/22 V blocks http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=25706/Product/MAGNA-TIP-reg-ADJUSTABLE-TORQUE-HANDLE but it works easily on everything else that doesn't have restrictive space requirements cause the Brownells Torque driver is BIG.

Supposedly this one is the king: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=18668/Product/TORQUE-LIMITING-SCREWDRIVER but it costs too much although had I gotten it first I wouldn't now have two different sized torque drivers.

This one may have been the handiest overall: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=18221/Product/1-TO-75-INCH-POUND-VARIABLE-TORQUE-WRENCH I think I could have done everything I needed with this one including getting a straight shot at the 10/22 V-Block bolts that are close to the barrel.

I've been lazy about picking up a,torque wrench of some sort. Every time I try the price holds me up. I wonder how close I get with my internal torque wrench?

I use a Wheeler Fat Wrench for everything except barrel nuts. I use a regular click type mechanic's torque wrench for them. I''ve never pulled the barrel on my 10-22, so I have no idea if they will work for that job. Good options in the first post.
