Went by today, have walked around Camp Jordon many times, first time ever inside the building.

Seemed to be a bit smaller than the Knox shows at the Expo but not by a whole lot. Seemed that only about 50% of vendors there also show in Knoxville. Prices on new guns I know and bulk ammo seemed about 5-10% higher than just a couple weeks ago at last show in Ktown, but doubt that had anything to do with venue.

I saw one rare bird there, a new Marlin .357 lever, for $675 + -- they're so hard to get almost grabbed it on general purposes even at that price, but didn't. Had a nice lookin' Winchester .357 right next to it, too for 8 bills.

Anyway, spent a pleasant time there, although the 'Nooga concrete floors ain't any more forgiving on the ole back than Knoxville ones. :)

the ammo prices at the show were stupidly high, IMHO. A good dollar more per box than the stores that are in town for a lot of it. Or, to put it another way: the reloads for sale were as much as a box of factory ammo.... and factory ammo was more than I wanted to pay.. $25 and 26 for a bulk box of 22 LR (normally 20-22 in town). ?!

I did manage to find that M&P sport, 750 OTD from a very nice gentleman who also had some nice looking mausers and milsurp.

Got a few targets that my wife likes that are hard to find in local stores. Not much else, looked at an older beretta .22 target pistol but I already have too many .22s so I just drooled and moved on.

Lot of stuff I would have bought if I had infinite money, so a good amount and variety of nice guns. All in all slightly better than average.

Everyone kept asking if my new ar was for sale but no one wanted to pay $1k for it :P

yeah i went today too. i agree that the ammo was overpriced. a box of xm193 55gr 5.56 was 9 bucks. I get it on a biweekly basis for 8 bucks a box at a store here in town. nonetheless tho not a real bad show. they had a socom 16 m1a i wouldve loved to have. i picked up a charging handle for my new ar build for 15 bucks (used) and a 50 cal ammo can for my 7.62x39 rounds for 10 bucks.

oh i also was tempted by a new ruger sr22 for 315 bucks. I didnt know what they are currently going for so i passed in fear i might get ripped off.

Went to show, did very well in selling Walther PPS and Single action holster rig. Dealer prices seemed high on guns and wanted to much boot on used Glock 32. I would probably go again. Not quite as big as Murfreesboro show.

I may swing on down tomorrow and see if I can find a Ruger Charger. They are surprisingly hard to find.

I didn't see one there today, but sportsmans has one and gt distributors was advertising one the other day.

Side note volunteer ordinance works cut a deal on a 3 gun buy my friend did.

One table had a couple nickel glocks at a decent deal. I was trying to get a ruger 22/45 but it turns out the cheapest deal I am going to get is from Joe bob outfitters. Couldnt find any good deals on glock mags :/ I did see a Springfield m1 garand for 775 I wish I had the $ :(

You didn't happen to sell that to a red head with a lisp? LOL guy I work with said he got a walther from someone there today.

Was an OK show but didn't buy anything. Some of the shows don't have any CZ's much, but saw a lot of CZ's for sale. Two places even had the fancy custom single-action CZ-75's that sell for about $1200, but they were asking retail and I don't want one that bad.

Maybe its just because I was noticing them, but saw several real shiny colt pythons. Maybe all the shows have some expensive colt pythons and I didn't notice before. Is it nickel or mirror-finish chrome they put on those? Dunno anything about colt revolvers. Anyway, maybe a trick of the eye, but look at em one way and they would just look mirror-finish silvery, but at certain angles they had more of a mirror-finish light gold tint. Think I saw about three of them various booths, so it probably wasn't something unusual about the lighting because they all had different-enough lighting at the different booths, and other shiny guns didn't have the elusive "gold" hilights. My imagination, or were some of them finished to have a little bit of gold reflection? All three were priced kinda high. Or maybe they were a bargain, but still priced kinda high compared to the typical revolver.

Was still keeping an eye out for a longer-than-4-inch barrel S&W 27 or 627. A dealer I think they are from nashville had a new 4" barrel half-lug 627 for $799 and a 5" barrel pro series "slanted-lug" 627 for $899. About retail. If had been a little closer to what I was looking for might have tried to dicker price. If I see one of those $1200 custom-shop 5" barrel "slanted lug" 627 and it looks as good in person as in the picture might be willing to give a little more, but for just a generic 627 would rather have a 6" or 7" barrel and maybe at least a little break off retail. Saw a couple of used 627's but the price was a little high to go negotiatiing on what might turn out to be a worn-out pig in a poke. Later the day went looking at sportsmans warehouse while I was out. Don't get out very often. They had a 6" barrel full lug 6-shot 686 that looks nice, just like my old 586 except longer and shinier. A little north of $700. Probably retail. Never tried to bargain with sportsmans warehouse, maybe they don't know how to play that game.

Volunteer had a 4" barrel stainless, wood-grip Kahr T9 at the show. Made a note to come back and axe em about it but forgot. Volunteer likes to charge near retail, and IIRC this gun was a little lower than retail so possibly used. It looks as good in person as in the catalog pitchers. Hadn't seen one in the flesh but had been curious about them because they are good-looking and the closest that Kahr makes to a "full size" gun, about like a stainless Kahr equivalent of a G19. Because the smaller polymer kahrs don't hardly have any recoil, was curious about the T9 maybe being a fairly-fun range gun. Might be silly to buy one just to find out, because already got a few 9mm's to shoot at the range.

I saw the t9 I really liked it. They had a nighthawk and 2 Dan Wesson 1911s that I lost a quart of drool over.

Went and didn't pick up anything. Was kinda let down really. The last one there had some deals on ammo and p-mags. And some decent deals on guns. I guess we won't see that again until next spring when everything settles back out.

I was there on Saturday. I got a new CMMG AR 22lr conversion for $160 out the door. I thought that was a pretty good price.
