Fair warning: While there's no obvious blood and guts, I wouldn't recommend this for the faint of heart. You're going to watch men get killed, and hear professional soldiers talk about it casually.

Spray and pray.

Are you referring to the Apache drivers or the bladders of the insurgents?

:D

It must suck to live in a place where you can get torn to shreds with out ever seeing your enemy

My favorite. I have to admit, i have been obsessed with this kind of video from the war. Utterly amazing.

Watch this one. brutal.

Wow man! YOU are a hero! Somehow, just saying thanks for giving your arm in service, seems not quite adequate enough. Thanks.

The guys in the second vid were friendlies (Iraqi malitia). As the smoke begins to clear you will see two Humvee trucks parked about 25 yds behind (to the left in the vid) the blast crater. This vid is just part of a much longer video where you can actually see them using the muzzle of their AKs to attempt to dig out the round. They were trying to uncover 110 arty round burried as an IED. Unfortunately they had not completed the EOD school. oops!

BTW Danielsbigtrip you owe me a keyboard. Unfortunately I was taking a sip of coffee while intently reading your entry entitled "Indiana Rocky and the Anal Gland of Doom" thinking about how your Rocky and my Panama Red, my red bone hound must be twin sons from different mothers. I think it was about the time I got to "After my color vision returned, my nose stopped running and my over-all sense of nausea went away...."

Though Red has never ah,...ahem... expressed himself as you describe in your narrative he does share certain traits such as the lack of forensic understanding and being a repeat offender when it comes to curling up where he doesn't belong or doing anything he shouldn't as far as that goes.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Good luck on your journey.
