Nikki Groeser may be able to rest easy now knowing that Wise is gone for 23 years. It doesn't say anything about eligibility for parole.

That sucks. He should never see the light of day again. Perhaps someone with knowledge can chime in with when this nutcase will be eligible for parole. It's sad that our system will allow women to be at risk from him again when he gets out.

Agreed, but 23 years is a lot better than what could have happened with the "I'm nuts!" defense. I hope there's not parole eligibility. That'd make him 70 when he get out.

Nikki said that he will have to serve every day of the 23 years and he gets no credit for time served. She also said that he will be 70 when/if he ever gets out.

Should have been a 1st degree murder charge.

This is good news overall but what this guy should get is life, for about a week before he gets a needle or a large dose of electricity up his ass.

This man was cold and methodical and, in my always humble opinion, he knew precisely what he was doing and that is was wrong...he probably is "nuts" by any reasonable definition but it's no excuse for avoiding deserved punishment. If there is any justice in the world he'll spend the next 23 years cuddling up to "Bubba", then die in pain and then go the Hell and find out what real pain is.

Definitely not all he deserved (maybe that will come later), but I hope it provides some sense of closure for Nikki. She has been through more than I can imagine and seems to have handled it all bravely.

I like electricity up the ass best. Why didn't he get life? Maybe somebody in the pen will give him the Dahmer special.

Because they used the "I'm crazy" defense he will probably be put into a medical unit for the crazies. Which is good. If he is indeed crazy he is in the right place. But if he isn't and only used the defense to try to get a by being housed with the crazies will be very punishing. He will enver get a good night sleep in the crazies unit.
