Well, he states that it's symbolic since he's not remaining long in office, so I don't think it's something to get excited about.

Yeah, I don't think the IL state political machine is going to be much fazed by what a temporary DA espouses in Bloomington.

Last year their House had enough votes to push through CCW veto proof untill Gov made a few calls the day before and never went to vote. I even drove around it

this Summer going through MO instead.

Just read on another web site that Illinois residents believe they will be able to have SBR's now. A recent law passed is worded so as to make one believe it's possible. It basically states that you can have an SBR if you have a C&R license. For the record though it is in a law for re-enactment weapons, so not sure it will fly.
