More a fan of the traditional arts personally but there are a few guys on the scene that really know what they're what doing.

I think alot of people tend to overlook that Gracie who has one of if not THE best record isnt a mixed style fighter and doesn't teach MMA but real deal Brazilian JuJitsu.

There has been a bit of talk in the San Soo community about getting a practitioner in the ring but I doubt it will happen.

Anyway, me personally, I prefer what in LA we call "Mexican judo". "judo know what I got a gun, judo know what I got a knife"

I do enjoy watching MMA. I think it is a great sport which typically involves folks with good sportsmanship. If I could change one thing about it, that would be Tapout shirts and Affliction gear. I swear, I have an urge to punk out folks that wear that crap when I see it. Doesn't matter if they're a skinny 18 year old or a stacked brawler lookin' dude. It just looks like BS tough guy stuff and is like nails on a chalkboard. If a dude is a good fighter, well then good for him. I just get annoyed at all the posers walking around looking tough and acting tough. Kinda glad I don't go to bars anymore for this reason.

Yeah, I live in Clarksville though, and every 19 year old that weighs 130 lbs is walking around with an Tapout shirt, sideways hat, gold chain and a chip on his shoulder. There are actually a lot of fighters here in Clarksville though, and they don't tend to fit that stereotype. Ironic.

Link worked fine, which one was your boy? Either way I have to say the most epic thing in that vid was the refs mustache.

I absolutely LOVE MMA. I got a little burned out watching it though, thanks to Dana White. He's the Don King of MMA and has turned a large part of the MMA world into everything I hate about heavyweight boxing from the 80's forward.

He has pimped out the UFC so bad that a working man can't afford to be a fan any more. Who can afford to drop $50 on a PPV every single month?

Strikeforce is where it's at. Those guys are trying to win instead of trying not to lose. After watching Julie Kedzie and Miesha Tate, I'm really liking WMMA too.

Edit: BTW...that truly is an EPIC stache

Love Anderson! BUt, that's easy to say. Everyone loves the winner.

By far my favorite fighter to watch is Ben "Smooth" Henderson. THat's the most limber son of a gun I ever seen. I have to say his last loss before he came to UFC was COOL too. Even he would have to admit getting caught with a ninja kick as the guy bounced off the side of the cage was awesome.

The side of the cage kick was awesome! The guys fighting just not to lose is getting old in the UFC. Not a fan of point fighting.

AMEN to that. I really like guys like Clay Guida and others. Of COURSE they wanna win, but they don't play a game of only winning, They come to throw DOWN!!!!!! I don't think bad of a guy who loses when he bangs it out really hard. Heck, that's what I wanna see!

There's a reason why guys like Chris Leben are big draws on a card...and it ain't his record. I'd much rather watch a scrapper give it everything and take risks than to see guys like Machida who game to win.

The new lighter weight divisions are a big plus for me too. Once the fighters get over 205# it's less fun to watch the fights (too slow paced).

My son used to do MMA to help him with losing weight and his self confidence. He was pretty good but stopped after a few years I think. He used to go to the Fierce Tiger in Knoxville when it was on Broadway. Not sure if they even exists anymore..

I liked watching it..

ShamGlock forgot to mention that he is an undefeated cage fighter himself. Humility is his specialty.

Brazillain Jiu Jitsu is the real deal, been training about two years. I provide medical care at many local/regional MMA fights, have worked one Strikeforce and UFC 145.

When I see extremely out of shape rednecks wearing Walmart Tapout shirts I like to go up and ask them where they train.

Here is my favorite perk so far!! Back stage at UFC 145

I'm not a big fan of the wannabes running around in Affliction and Tapout gear either. In all fairness, they may have similar comments about me wearing a Ruger tshirt. I hope nobody at the shooting range thinks I'm trying to pretend to be a pro shooter if I wear a Glock hat.
