Help us celebrate the new fiscal year in style. The past year has brought many good aspects and shooting experiences to the new shooters and members of the club. We will be going to the tougher stage designs to help everyone be better prepared for the sanctioned events in TN and surrounding states.

New Shooter Briefing: 8:30 AM

Shooter Meeting: 8:45 AM

Match Start Time: 9:00 AM

Match Fees have not changed with the new year. We have approx 35 plus events scheduled for 2012-2013 fiscal year. New membership will start 09/01. Members only parking on top of the hill and are eligible to practice days as part of the benefits. Also members receive match fee discounts and can practice after each match on steel targets for at least 1 hour after each match. Membership form on website has not been changed but will be present by tomorrow evening including new club by-laws.

I will try to fake sick at work on Thursday afternoon(Friday is month end processing) to begin setup of the match. The activated targets on the stages will be difficult to setup/finish on match day. Additional help is encouraged.

Hey Michael, I don't see P2 marked in the stage description for stage 5. I assume it's behind the wall directly in front of the barrel but you know what assuming does.

It seems I picked a good time to move back to TN.

I'm working from my phone today so have limited access to the MCTS website...is the membership form on there or is that something I can fill out at the match?

All people wanting to Join MCTS need to head over to the website and read the new bylaws. Especially the 20 hours of range work(easy to do), and the proof of NRA membership parts.

Dues have gone up, but there are twelve extra steel matches on the forth weekends to make up for it.

There will be sign-ups at the range Saturday.

We will shoot rain or shine. Unless it is too muddy or if there is lightning in the area.

I am thinking the weather is going to hold off and we will have a great day shooting.

Another first-rate match at MCTS today. Thanks to Mechanic_X and HOGNUT for a great set-up. Very challenging stages, but good practice for the Music City Cup II.

Congrats to the new shooters on your first IDPA match. This was a demanding club match, so if you made it through okay you should be very proud of yourself. Hope to see you again soon. Bring some friends with you to the next match on September 15th so they can get addicted to IDPA too!

Thank you Rickey. Great shooting with you today and glad we had the competition between one another. The conversations were great. Glad you accepted the offer earlier and see that you representing the club at big matches will be a good thing. Glad the rain held off and it was sunny on the range at the start of the match. It was a challenging match, this was not a hoser match. Expect more matches like this in the future. Our goal it to get better as shooters, we are a shooting club. Expect harder stages at the next match!

Whew! What a day. The weather held off but it was still hot and humid. I'll be ready for the next one. I was certainly not ready for this one.
