Hendersonville Gun Show

Recommended Posts

According to their ads & website, RK Shows will have a show in Hendersonville this weekend, Aug. 25

& 26th. @ 90 Volunteer Dr.

Their first shows were good, later shows, a bust. Been quite a while since they had one at this

location. Guess I'll give it a look.

...at Strike & Spare? Might have to check it out.

Edit: $66? That'd be better spent towards a new gun. Oh well.

Another question since we're on the topic:

Are there usually some good deals to be had at these or is it mainly to see all the good stuff in one place? I'm in the market for a <&450 compact 9mm and curious if this event is worth the $10 to find out.

I see that many of you aren't too happy with this specific event's recent history...

No its 10.00 per person but you can print out a coupon for a dollar off so 9.00. And parking is free. So actually cheaper than Bill Goodmans at the fairgrounds overall. Like has already been posted, it started out great and then dwindeled some, but hopefully this one will be good since they havent had it in a while. Heck, I think its worth the price just to be around that much gun stuff for a morning. But I have seen some good deals there...as well as some high p[rices, just like at all shows.

Where are all these figures coming from? Adm is normally $10, tables are $66, $56 prepaid. Free parking. $1 off

w/ coupon. Website says 850 tables. That's how many are available, not likely that many in use, hope so, don't

bet the farm.

Got an itch for a M&P Shield if I can find one. Rather scare right now in some places & pricey as well.

I think its $10 but you can print a coupon from their website. That gets you in both days, BTW.

Yep, here's the coupon link: http://rkshows.com/coupon.htm

I hope this one is better than the last two local shows i been to.

They do have the table count up to 850 so there will something to look at.

I'm ruined since doing the Louisville show this past spring. Wowza!

I was there from 10:00 to 10:30, this morning. I just cruised the booths with my son (19mo) in tow.

Checked out some pistols I'm interested in. Prices were in line with what I want to pay (read: $10-20 less than in stores)

Found my sr22 for $40 less than I paid, two weeks ago. Found a .40 PPQ for $525. If I can talk down under $500, I might pick it up tomorrow.

....aaaand there was a bunch of cool accessory stuff that I've been wanting to purchase.

I can't tell you if it's a good turnout or not but I quite liked it. I'm gonna spend a lot more time there, tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me what the purchase procedure is for gun shows? Is it the same as buying from a store? Background check + fee?

If buying from a dealer at the show, it's just like purchasing from a gun shop. You will be required to pay for and go through the background check process.

If buying from a private individual at the show, treat the transaction as any other transaction between two private individuals.
