What is it? It says Stevens...22 long rifle but I don't know anything else. Can someone identify it? As soon as I can figure out how to transfer pictures to photobucket I'll post. So far my pictures won't upload to 'the bucket.'

Stevens Rifles are pretty much the same as Savage Rifles. I have a Stevens Model 62, spitting image of a Savage semi auto.

Don't pay more than 100 bucks for it at any rate.

Went there...Shoot...still not what we're looking for. The receiver has faint markings on the side but a deep three digit number behind the trigger tit. 22 long rifle only on the barrel..it's a takedown for sure..has the big knob...everything else is nearly impossible to read.

Yes Baja, your are correct! It's actually a No. 12 made from 1912 to 1930 according to Flayderman's #2...Not likely to find many more of 'em.

Here's a little info to digest on the Stevens "Favorite" series of rifles. Stevens actually made some VERY fine guns in that era. Yours looks pretty good in the pic. Thanks for posting.
