The sad fact is, I was there, held it, smelled it, caressed it.......Um, anyway.....My better half would have been none too pleased with me. This hobby costs me almost too much too justify at times.

But, like I said, my impatience is almost getting the better of me.

Most of you guys know that im not exactly on the Plastic Fantastic bandwagon, but I have to admit, the XDM is pretty freak'n nice!

My only beef is why didnt they release it in 9mm first?

Because .40 is better. I'd really like it in 10mm, but I'm not holding my breath for that. I guess the .45 would have to come out first, so they can build the 10mm off the .45 frame.

Im waiting to see if it comes out in a 9 at some point myself. I got the Walther .40 & I really like the xd-m but im wanting a nine foe whenz I roll thru da hizzoood.

.40SW is very popular with the USPSA shooters, though, so it's really no surprise that Springfield went there first.

The XDM matches the round count of the current XD9 of 16 rounds.So of course they chose the 40 to be first with people always wanting a larger carry round.
