Hello fellow Tennesseeans.

Got an email from The Armory today that they have 147 grain 7.62x54r on sale for $65/can or $120/case. Shipping is reasonable as well. http://www.the-armor...ammunition.html

What is the difference in the 147 and 148 grain? Did they just happen to use a lighter bullet when these were produced, and no other significance?

This seems like a pretty good price, I think.

Thanks

1 grain is nothing. I do not know if the powder charges are different, but I cannot tell the difference between 90 and 95 grains in a 380, or 90 and 115 grains in a 9mm. The error in powder measure for mass produced ammo is going to have more effect than 1 grain of lead.

Well yes, I know that 1 grain is about 0.67% or so.... Question was really whether there was anything else different about the rounds... maybe one was made at a time when quality was generally better, etc... thanks
