This is too easy....

Almost all political elites running the government, i.e., Progressive Republicans, Liberal Democrats, Progressive Democrats, Democratic Socialists and Communists go after guns.

I think the only reason Obama hasn't yet is because he wants to win a 2nd term first.

And yes, the folks that think nothing will ever happen (the tin-foil-hat bots) will call anyone who sees these facts a tin foil hat conspiracy theorist. All you have to do is look at the parallels of the people who fell for Socialism and Communism under leaders like Hitler, Stalin, etc., and it is easy to write off their ignorance to the lessons history and the facts teach us.

The recipe for Alinksy's book to become a success is not so far away. We just need to keep growing and progressively changing government toward socialism. Keep progressively adding more socialism and bits of communism in to the public school and college curriculum's. Get enough radical leftists, Progressives, etc., in all positions (the majority) of Government, media, etc., while at the same time the indoctrinated youth is maturing (18-35) and in just the right numbers to win at the ballot as well as having an asleep or ignorant aging group to do nothing about it.

Socialism sales promises of an equal classless utopia to the masses (the voting majority) while demonizing the minority (anyone working and earning above average). Then when they get power, since they usually take all your guns, they rule you by force, which is usually by the barrel of a gun, or some type of militant police force. The result, a country full of slaves to a Government full of ruling elites that actually care nothing about the poor and degrade the living conditions of everyone.They'll live in their marble palaces paid for on the backs of the working class while the classless live like, well, classless worker-bee's (again, slaves to government in my view).

A couple of ideas on why so much ammo has been sold in the last few years.

More people have carry permits so more people are practicing. Not everyone who has an HCP does but a certain percentage do.

More guns have been sold and so more are being shot.

For gun enthusiast ignorant of the political and financial mess, it is the the gun control politics as they're wanting to regulate ammo, ban some or all guns (according to which radical politician you're referencing), etc. So any chance they get to bring it up when some crazy shooter kills in mass, they try a new strategy to take away our gun rights. .

Do you recall a while back they were wanting to regulate lead bullets under enviro regs? Using more expensive bullets would have drove up the cost of shooting, hence the Cass Sunstien "Nudge" method like they did smokers by making it cost more to smoke, nudges them out of it. http://www.foxnews.c...ban-toxic-lead/ It is a constant and never ending battle, that at times we lose. You know, he thinks we're all too stupid to make the right choices, that we all have a little "Homer Simpson" in us, so we need to have certain choices removed -- or, for example, become too expensive, to narrow it down to the choices government (regulatory czar) wants you to make. Much like $10 a gallon gas would make you want to take mass transit or buy those electric cars that they just can't sale.

The Obama Regulatory Czar wanted to ban hunting animals for sport, etc. Doesn't like gun rights, either.

So yes, the gun and ammo buying is fueled by a lot of things. But you already knew this - I hope.

John, you are very politically astute and make good points about why ammo and gun sales have soared the last 4 years. Yes, I know, but what worries me is why or how so many people don't have a clue as to the reason for the booming gun industry. I feel that most of the people who have bought guns and ammo the last 4 years really have been aware why they needed to make gun and ammo purchases. The rest of the people are still feeling the tingling of Hope and Change up their leg.

When you buy your first gun, and then realize the importance of the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution, doesn't it make you feel really proud to be an American?

the biggest problem is that there were several millon rounds loaded wrong. the company that loads it took a large hit it is not loaded by fn its loaded by fichoii didnt spell it right but you know who i mean.i saw a warehoude foll of the ammo all loaded too hot
