White Oak Armament vs Compass lake??

I have a WOA 18" SPR barrel that I'm in the "que" for to be made. I have read great reviews about these barrels and the accuracy that they are capable of so I picked it and headspaced bolt for an SPR build I'm doing. Well the only downside is that I have all my parts except the barrel and my FF handguard. My barrel won't be even started on for another 6-10 weeks. Well today I found compass lake and they said they would turn me an SPR profile Douglas stainless barrel with the headspaced bolt and have it done within 2 weeks. So my dilema is do I cancel my order with WOA and go with the compass lake or just suck it up and wait it out?

Thanks dolomite. I knew you would be on this fast that's why I posted it here...lol...this is gonna be a little more expensive but I am willing to pay it just to have it here quicker...not to mention your saying it's a better barrel. What kind of accuracy can I expect out of the barrel assuming I do my part. and this gun will only see black hills and handloads...

Every barrel is different so it is hard to make a guess as far as accuracy. There are too many other variables that can influence accuracy. Like free floated vs not. Shooting from bipod vs off a padded surface. The ammo itself and the shooter's abilities. Weather conditions. All these contribute to or detract from the accuracy potential.

Make sure to follow the break in procedures and under ideal condition I would think sub .75" groups at 100 yards would be the norm.

the white oak barrels i have had shoot better than i do. i built a 20" 5.56 just to do a 1000 yard F class match with. my first 1000 yard match had 2 misses. my 18" is my main racing gun right now(3 gun) and do plan on taking it to Memphis for a 600 yard F-class later this year.
