Wife's Permit is Coming

Well I will get to start a new game, well just a different twist to an old game.

My wife just got finished with her fingerprinting, so now starts the Mailbox Watch Game. I know I probably won't start getting excited at first, but in a few weeks, the mail-lady better watch out.

I am proud of my wife for finally going through with this.

Range USA ran a special a few weeks back with some morning radio station. If you called the Range and said you heard their advertisement on the Blah....Blah....Blah...radio show, you could take the permit class for free. Well needless to say the last set of friends I told, said by the end of the day they were booked til July.

Luckily, I got my wife on the list, before I started making phone calls. She took her class last Saturday, and passed, went and paid the $115 dolars today and just called me and said the fingerprints were done.

Just though I would share.

Dang, now when she gets the permit, I will have to look for me a new summer carry gun, ( I currently use her Bersa .380 for that).....Oh well, just a good reason for me to get that .38spl I have always wanted.

Congrats to your wife. I did mine on April29 & fingerprinted on May9. I am on the waiting list also! Allan has bought me a Bersa380 for summer carry & I have a Taurus24/7 for any other time.

We have looked at the Taurus Mill. and my wife likes the way they feel. My cousin has one in .40cal, and when we both shot it, we didn't like it. We were not accurate at all, and she didn't like the recoil....(she likes my Glock Model 30 .45acp better than the Taurus .40)

I was wanting her to shoot the same model, but in 9mm, to see if she likes it any better, but the range doesn't have one to rent.

Angel, is yours 9mm or .40? How do you like it?

Mine is a 9mm. I shot Allan's xd9mm. I liked mine much better. I have very weak hands. I like the trigger & the recoil is not bad.

I haven't had the chance to shoot my Bersa yet. You like?

Congrats to the wife and to you of course because I know it makes you happy that she is about to carry. I like a 9mm best, I have the Glock 26 and a CZ 75D PCR compact. I have a .380 (Kel-tec) but I don't like it for practise. To me a 9mm is perfect for a woman, it's not so much bang that it offends but enough to know it went bang!!!!! If she likes your Glock then how about a G26?

We are considering Glock. It will be holstered in her purse most of the time, so with no external safety, I didn't want her to accidently discharge. But we are still considering it.

My Wife's Permit came in the Mail Saturday.

She only had to call three times. :)

She was fingerprinted on May 23. So not even 2 months. I definitely pays to call.
