It is a way for older folks or maybe folks with some light disabilities to serve their state, county and local communities. You don't have to run, jump or shoot to a standard. I am not a memeber but it may be something for some people to do.

One of my posts got zapped by the SQL disaster of yesterday, so I'll repost it.

Does the Tennessee State Guard still have the neon-glow aimpoint patches they used to have?

No, that went away a few years ago.

Who exactly would be aiming at them? Since they aren't combatants, I really don't see them being in a firefight where the color of their patch would mean life or death...
