Just got a proper belt. Wow what a difference!

We've all heard it time and time again, "Wear a good belt, it will make carrying more comfortable." I always figured my leather belt made by Dickies, that I've been wearing for the last 10 years was good enough. Seems I've always had issues with guns that aren't supposed to feel heavy, feeling heavy, my hip usually hurts by the end of the day as well. A Glock 27 was even uncomfortable to carry for a whole day. So, the other day I ordered a Blackhawk riggers belt and I can't believe the difference. I got it off of Amazon and paid $25 for it shipped. I literally forgot the gun was there for most of the day. I usually take my weapon out of the holster and put it on a shelf when I get home because it has been irritating the crap out of me for hours. Today I felt like a could walk around for another 10 hours without it bothering me. Thing has a 7,000 lb tensile strength as well so I guess I'm wearing a tow strap if I need one. Money well spent for me, if you haven't gotten yourself a good belt yet do yourself a favor and pick one up.

What exactly does the secondary triangular dealie on model's left side accomplish? Can't find explanation on BH' site or anywhere else.

Yes, a great belt does make a HUGE difference. Sounds like you have a comfortable holster as well. I got tired of fighting with the 1911 holsters I had and made my own. It is so comfortable that my all steel full size 1911 is comfortable to wear. It also conceals very, very well.

I have been using a thick leather belt for a while now. Before I had a riggers belt. I might pick up the belt you did.

yes a real gun belt does do the trick. also a good named brand holster works well with a real gun belt. i have found the 5.11 dress gun belts work well.

Not sure of the brand of holster that I'm using Dolomite as it doesn't say anywhere on the holster. Same style as the one you have there, and it seems to work well. That's a good looking holster you have there by the way.

Ah so, thnx, "rigger" should have clued me, duh.

I'd feel a little over-tacticooled wearing that around -- unless I carried some rope too, I guess.

Beltman Bullhide has done very well for me.

I tried so many different belts I was sick of looking. I started wearing a Galco reinforced instructors belt and have been very happy.

A good quality GUN belt is one component of a complete carry system.

I've been using a kydex reinforced instructor's belt more and more lately too. I love leather, but these nylon/velcro belts are much easier to adjust and don't creak.

That is my next investment as part of my EDC system. Just ponied up and spent money on a good quality (Adams Leatherworks) OWB leather pancake holster for my Springfield EMP. Been breaking in the holster the last few days around the house.

Noticed, I was "printing" really bad. Basically my current leather belt is stretching, sagging, etc. . . Also, could be it is fitting a little loose since I must have dropped a few pounds. Basically, the holster is hanging off my hip, it is not up tight against my body.

Looking for belts right now, would like a brown leather (dress) type belt. . .don't really want a nylon (tactical) looking belt.

It's an attatchment point for a lanyard when riding "seats out" in a helo.

You can find the same style belt without the triangle link if you want. Often called bdu belts or something similar.

Rigger is in reference to the parachute rigger's that originally made the belts using components from parachute harnesess.
