NBC Actually Gets it Right.... Sorta

In reference to backlash regarding their new reality series "Stars Earn Stripes." I'm not a fan of reality shows in the first place, nor do I intend on watching it, but it seems that the flaming left is attacking NBC claiming that NBC is "glorifying war" with the premise. NBC's response was spot on despite their leftist, anti-military history. From the article:

NBC responded to the open letter. A spokesperson for the Peacock Network said, "'Stars Earn Stripes' is about thanking the young Americans who are in harm’s way every day. This show is not a glorification of war, but a glorification of service."

Anyone actually watch this show? Are there any real celebrities on there?

Speaking of shows with a "war" theme, I couldn't help but notice that so many reality shows include that word in the title, and I wonder if these same people are offended by the inclusion of that concept in these shows:

Storage Wars

Craft Wars

Shipping Wars

I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones that come to mind.

I watched it. No, they were all second rate "stars". It was nice to see them pawing over their thankfulness to the military and police, however it was so scripted it made it almost unreal. Like they were just saying what they were told and not what they felt.

Other than that it was a snooze fest. There were some cool guns and some great soldiers, but it was just boring and corny.
