Its not that what he did was wrong, but more in that he ran over to his computer, and the way he typed the message.

Everything he did was fine, and its great that some idiot with a felony didn't get ammo that day. I don't want any stricter gun laws whatsoever, I think there are far too many, and legislation of ammo would be so costly as to ruin our fun altogether. I'm firmly against it.

But the phrasing of his post doesn't read like he did the right thing, but rather a reminder of how to get around it.

You have got to be kidding me.

Felons can buy a gun in Tennessee anytime they want, day or night. They just can’t buy it from an FFL dealer. Forums, internet sale sites, newspapers…. No questions asked.

You think that someone making a joke about selling ammo is going to cause some anti-gun person somewhere to support some legislation that will cost you money? That’s just silliness; the anti-gun folks are trying everyday as hard as they can to take your guns and restrict ammunition.

I doubt they get any ideas from this board, but I for one am not going to worry about what I discuss or joke about here because of them.

Not really, I just thought the joke was in poor taste. I'm only a little worried regarding this and that spoken word, but idiots like the Mayor of Toronto make it worse. Banning shooting ranges in the city limits because they promote a dangerous sport? WTF

Guns kill thousands of people a year. If there were fewer guns there would be fewer deaths. IN any case guns contribute to the culture of violence, which we are trying to stop. No one needs guns because we have police.

There, doesnt that sound simple? Honestly that is what they say. And every incident involving a gun becomes grist for their mill.

Some people are helpless.

They do exactly what we do on the pro side. But not as well, obviously. They look for news articles, lobby legislators, put out newsletters, form discussion groups, etc, etc ad nauseam. Advocating one thing or another is hardly a deep dark mystery. Everyone does this for his or her particular cause.
