On the C&R form, number 10 says

10. Nonimmigrant Alien Certification of Compliance (etc.)

Being USA born and bred I assume I can skip this section and jump to number 11. Is that correct?

I dropped of the CLEO copy at the County Sheriffs office. His secretary looked at it and said "I've got a drawerful of these, I'll put this with the others". Kind of made me chuckle.

Same thing happened at my CLEO office, talked to one lady who had no idea what was going on, she called in another gal with more experience and she knew exactly what it was and what to do with it.

Went alot easier than I thought.

You can write a check and send that in with your paperwork. I'm pretty sure you just make it out to BATF.

Yes. The top of page 4 (the instructions) of the application states:

The fee for this license is $30 for three years. You can pay by credit/debit card (if you chose this option, complete item #8), or check or money order made payable to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

She's mistaken. I got mine in 22 days. Mailed 08/13/2012 and received 09/04/2012.

Still waiting - my application was sent in at the end of July. I called the BATF again last week. I was told that all my paperwork appeared in order. The lady (different one than last time) confirmed they are running 60 days.

Sounds like you were fortunate there PapaB.

Hopefully mine will arrive in early October. Gave me time to save cash and shop around!

Make a color copy of your FFL, sign it, and scan it into a .pdf. Upload it at Brownell's, Midway, etc., and that C&R will pay for itself very quickly. Enjoy!
