Shipping to an FFL

Recommended Posts

Ok, Googled and I think I know the answer, but wanted to post up and make sure.

If someone out of state wants to buy a gun from me (I am not a dealer), I can ship it via UPS to an FFL in their state (Texas), correct?

If so, my next question is this: How do I make use of the FFL? Meaning, is there anyway I can verify they are a real FFL?

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you can. Get the phone number and call the FFL in question. Ask for an ink signed copy. I don't know if it's necessary for YOU to have an INK signed copy to be able to ship to him, but it's standard operating procedure for ordering guns, so it shouldn't be an issue. Have him send you a copy of his FFL and ship to the address on THAT license only. Good to go!
