Campbell County supressor and Class III dealer

Recommended Posts

I live in Campbell County outside of city limits(responding LEO would be County Sheriff). Is there any restrictions/hard times about getting a supressor here. I have heard of some places dragging you through the dirt and giving you a hard time about why you want one and all that. Anyone around here know what process is?

Also anyone know of a local dealer? Internet Class III search only gave me middle and west TN dealers.

Thanks.

There are a couple of class 3 down here in Knoxville. I am not sure of any up in Campbell County or surrounding area, to be honest - but that doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't one. There is a law related to the CLEO sign off, that pretty much states they have to sign it unless they have a concrete reason that they shouldn't. This prevents them from giving you the run around and just delay signing off on it, if your sheriff is giving you the run around you can reference this law to them (as they might be unaware of it) and your sign off will get done quickly.

You might also want to look into setting up an NFA trust. There are many benefits of setting up a trust and many find it worth doing.

I have never heard of trouble getting a CLEO sign off there. I am from there, but actually used the Lake City Cheif of Police when I did mine years ago. Not sure how or why it worked, but it did.

The nearest dealer I know of is Brad at Long Range Precision in Andersonville. He is nearly across the lake from you, very near Big Ridge State Park.
