Yeah he is a member of Rugerforum...we did some quickload data runs and estimate that it was a 75,000PSI charge.

Didn't hurt him at all.

I use a single stage setup. About six months ago I was examining a block of .38spl that had just been charged with powder and could tell from the level that one was double charged. Yikes! Since then, I go even slower. Using homemade scoops (spent casings trimmed to size and glued to a popsicle stick) that can't over-charge the particular load, each load gets weighed. After pouring the weighed charge into a double-checked empty casing, I seat the bullet. It doesn't take that much longer, but I feel a lot safer.
