Tractor attack on cop cars

Recommended Posts

The funny part of this story would have been to see the reaction of the officers... "WTF!!!". I guess the other part I got a chuckle out of was the officer saying that they couldn't pursue him because all their cars were wrecked. They'll charge this guy for the damage and get their money back one way or the other. At least this is Vermont, where there is no crime other than falsely labeling maple syrup.

This sort of thing just blows my mind. I just don't understand how someone can think this would be a good idea, even if mad. It only makes sense if the guy has the mentality of a 4 year old, and if that were the case, he would not be able to function as an adult, or afford a tractor, or pot, etc. They should let him go so he can continue to work to pay for the damage, and garnish his wages and/or benefits until it is paid for. Prison just costs the repairs + his room& board. Would taking someone's money until the end of time be cruel and unusual?... It isnt in the case of divorce, so I am not sure.

I laughed, I cried, I wish there was video.

...and simple possession.

I didn't see simple possession mentioned. He could have been facing some serious charges deepening on what he had. 6mos to 15 years.

Still stupid to monster truck the police cars though.

Apparently the motivation for this was him being previously arrested for marijuana possession. What the cops didn't know was the marijuana was to treat his personality disorder that causes spontaneous rage.... ironic.

Thank TMF. I saw the possession part, just not the specification of simple. My google fu must be weak, because it didn't turn up anything.

Is the second part a joke?

How did the police not know a guy was driving over their squad cars? Talk about not paying attention...

The dept. is in an old bank building it says. Obviously well built thick walls blocked the crunch and pop of sheet metal and glass.

I saw the carnage on the evening news and couldn't help from chuckling. Chuckling at what some people will do when they get angry, it was out of the ordinary.

But the reasonable side of me though how selfish that was of the idiot. Didn't he consider the potential consequences of a life or death emergency happening and the police can't respond?

Not to mention the good chunk of change the local tax payer is going to fork over to maintain police protection until if / when they can claim restitution from this one sandwich short of a picnic dude.
