And at the end of the day, all this effort really did was to make the Cathy family (the owners of the chain) richer than they already are . . .

Yeah, and Obama and the government didn't spend a dime on his business, but they sure are gonna want the taxes from his people and free market supported business.

Why can't some people realize that the same power that can deny a Chick-Fil-A from opening in Chicago, is the same power that can prevent a Ben and Jerry's from opening in Tuscaloosa.

Is there something wrong with being rich?

Is there something wrong with being richer?

I'd like to be rich...to most of the population of the world any person currently standing in the United States is rich...should we be sorry???

Maybe I just don't understand but I sort of think that, as long as someone doesn't do something illegal or immoral to get it, being rich is a good thing and something to be admired and emulated.

Also, what yesterday really did was show just how stupid and how bigoted and how reprehensible some of the left-wing wack-jobs really are and it brought a huge number of like-minded people together to offset a wrong being committed.

If all you straight people would stop breeding like rabbits and/or have more abortions, there would be less gay people in the world.

When LGBT (and other liberals) begin to seriously fight to minimize abortions, I will seriously entertain their dialogue about calling civil relationships by the word "marriage".

When they work to preserve the actual civil rights of the defensless (embryos and fetuses that that in the absense of extreme prejudice will normally form humans) then I will reconsider my personal definitions of legitimate civil rights to reflect more in their favor.

Until then, rewording a definition is not on my list of priorities.

In comment to other folks "taking exception" to Luckyforward's statement-- Dunno his implication but I read it as a comment on the futility of the gay protests rather than a criticism of the Cathy family.

I went for diner around 6:30 and Chic-fil-a was still extraordinarily busy. Not quiet as busy as yesterday but almost.

I'm thinking of going tomorrow and watching chicks make out. I just hope they're not bigger or meaner than me.

Lebanese women are very pretty. I love the olive skin tone.

But I have to admit, I never seed any kissing each other, especially at a fast-food resturant.

I thought about going to heckle tomorrow, but I don't want to be mistaken for what I am not. However stores should bring in security guards and anyone that isn't actually buying have them removed from the property and ask to not come back. Maybe threaten to even file a trespassing complaint against them and have them arrested if they come back. However, they will just let this pass as I think they are ready for this to drop out of the news.

Friends and I discussed just quietly buying the protesters lunch, to show them who we, and CFA really are.

That is a good idea a protester lunch. However I believe our CFA in Oak Ridge is still closed for remodeling.

correct. Oak Ridge is closed for remodeling. Closest is probably Turkey Creek

edit to add - heh, might be a good OC day. That with paying for their lunch would warp them!
