Mine is a Targa B) They had a picture of a MKIV Supra (my body style) and the caption underneath read "Instant A$$hole just add Driver" and that was on Supraforums. LOL

or when you try to turn a 16sec. 1/4 mile e.t. in a car meant get 40mpg in japan....

:stir::D

Talking about a DSM? they were 14 second cars stock and they weren't made OR sold in Japan :D

;)

yea talking about the DSM.

i was wrong about japan, just a japanese company(mitsubishi).

but when you put 20lbs. worth of stickers on it, it actually slows it down and they dont add any HP contrary to popular opinion....

I've seen a bunch of street-worthy Eclipses and Talons run low 10's... That's not bad at all, since it's even difficult to get a modern GTO, Cobra or 'Vette into the 8s without making it nearly undriveable otherwise.

Having run a car-oriented forum for the past six years, I can tell you that those are so spot-on it's beyond funny to me. And having owned a Mustang for five of those years (until just recently) ... the Civic vs. Mustang comments are even more hilarious. :D

the eclipses are one of the few import cars that i would drive. no doubt they can and do make power. its just that imports/ricers are so easy to make fun of.

im sure you know this but its much harder to go from a 9sec. et to a 8sec. et than it is to go from a 12 sec. et to a 11 sec. et.

...And even harder to go from 11s to 10s (were many safety equipment regulations come into play...)

From my experience, mid-low 11s are the best mix of speed and economy for the purely recreational racer who uses their car more than just at the track.

This younger generation... with there fancy smancy "Fuel injection" and

"turbo shmurrrrbo"... I'm simple... give me at least 300 Horses and some

good old fashion steel wind blockage!

and thats on the high end of speed for me. then again it takes more to get a 4,000lb. truck to do 11s than it does a sports car

She needs a lot of work. I've owned her since '86. She sat in the elements

for 10 years. I have a lot of metal work to do to her.

Got her up on blocks and tarp'd. Do a little at a time.

I have the pict o' plate book and owners manual as well.

She is a factory air car.

I've thought of selling her a dozen times. But I... I... just can't.

Been through too much with her. Funny how you get attached to things.

I have always wanted a '68 or '69 Camaro. Right behind that would be a '69-71 Chevelle. One of these days I may get lucky enough to own one. Definitely don't part with it unless you absolutely have to. They are getting harder and harder to find!

And EXSPENSIVE!!!!

I paid $2200 for mine in '86. A king's ransom for a 17 year old! LOL!!!
