I have two removable "duck-bill" mags for my SKS, one Tapco and one Cobray. The Tapco is flawless, the Cobray, not so much. If you are going with a removable mag, I would stick with the Tapcos. That said, I prefer the original 10-round mag with stripper clips.

"Easily attached and detached" is the key: while they are not difficult to remove, they can be irritating to seat home. The duck-bill that makes them work does not allow the mags to drop free and be slammed quickly into place the way you would an AR or AK mag - you have to tuck in the tab and leverage the mag into place, which is not always easy to do, and can be nigh impossible if the bolt is not open. I guess, for me at least, it is easier and quicker to use stripper clips and just fire 10 rounds at a time, although I do occasionally like to pop in the Tapco and burn through a box of Wolf while yelling "Wolverines!"... it'll just have to do until I get my AK.

If you would like to try out the two mags I have to see 1) how well they work, and 2) if you think it is worth investing in detachable mags, I would be happy to let you borrow them.

Edit to fix mistake.

Well now... you see, I had no idea that this was in the works. A bumpfire stock would make the high capacity magazine more desirable, to be sure. Thanks for the heads-up! I see a crate of Yugo surplus 7.62x39 in my future...
