Ammo Restrictions

"It requires licensed ammunition dealers to maintain records of the sale of ammunition."

That's going to be a whole bunch of paper work. Pretty much makes it more trouble than it is worth to sell ammunition.

And here we go again with the ammo hoarders......Just like 2008 all over again.

Same with reloading. People will start hoarding components and make it harder for the rest of us!

I've been telling everybody around me for the past year to Buy Ammo.

Don't be surprised if the ATF cancels the import of any ammo. That will the first step and will give Barry Hussein the cover to issue executive orders to limit the shipping of US produced ammo via UPS/FEDEX.

He will claim he must act because Congress won't!

The "Shot Heard Around The World" was first fired at Lexington because the British were coming for the militia's gunpowder and shot at Concord.

The King of England wanted to dis-arm his "subjects."

History repeating itself?

Now let's see if ammo "sellers" jack up the price again?

I remember when .380 was priced at over $35 for FMJ target rounds.

The 1000 round thing is really funny, since they want to report anyone buying over 1000 rounds with in 5 days.

There goes buying 2 boxes of Federal 550 bulk .22LR.

This is just another stupid attempt to get their foot in the door on more regulation on guns and ammo.

It always starts progressively.

So, why is the amount of ammo this guy bought the main cause for more control and regulation when he fired no where near the 6,000 he bought (according to what I've read, but no specific number comes up)?

Because these clowns never let a good crisis go to waste! They want to use this nutt as a vehicle for more gun and ammo control.

So I can't find how many rounds he actually fired on a quick search. Anyone know for sure? If it's like 20-30, we should really push that out there to the public to show them how ignorant this new regulation attempt is. :livid:

Speed dial#1: Dlm for powder & primers

Speed dial #2: caster for bullets

Speed dial #3: dolomite - surely he can figure out how to make brass from a Prius or something else equally useless...

I have actually turned a shell out of aluminum specifically to fit my wife's 45 acp bolt gun. It had a 4" "barrel" so I could load it with walnut hulls and kill bees.

I am not as good as some but I am better than most. I need primers more than anything. I also need to buy more 22lr but my local WM is out. I am going tomorrow to buy more subsonics that actually work and not the Remington crap. I hate the shop that carried them because he is very tempermental and actually calls you names. You can walk into his store and not here him say a single word to you, which is a blessing in disguise. It is when he gets riled up that you get an earful.

I cast everything I shoot and I am getting a bit light on lead now. I have a local shop that has been collecting for the last month so I should be good again for a while.

It requires anyone selling ammunition to be a licensed dealer.

It requires ammunition buyers who are not licensed dealers to present photo identification at the time of purchase, effectively banning the online or mail order purchase of ammo by regular civilians.

It requires licensed ammunition dealers to maintain records of the sale of ammunition.

It requires licensed ammunition dealers to report the sale of more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition to an unlicensed person within any five consecutive business days.

Wow I don't like this at all. I guess I will be reported, so far reported isn't a crime, Might be ask why. I like to target practice.

Those two idiots are just dancing for votes. It's popular to be an anti-gun douchebag in their home states.

Be careful not to overestimate the intelligence of the general public. My guess is that if you pointed out that Holmes only fired X number of rounds then the response would be, "You're right. Limiting to 1,000 rounds won't do any good. We need to set the limit at 10 rounds, instead."
