Suppressor fun with a 22lr

I took my two boys out today shooting (they are 6 and 8). We shot 22lr with our Buckmark and AAC Prodigy. This suppressor is very quiet and the low weight aluminum can is perfect for beginning shooters. We shot a few hundred rounds and the boys had a blast. We blew up some rotten tomatoes, water bottles and zombie targets.

I have a can for my AR but if I had to only choose one can, it would hands down be the Prodigy. The low weight, easy cleaning and quietness are great but it really shines in helping new shooters develop proper shooting mechanics. I have shot this thing a bunch but today it really just hit me how much I enjoyed 22 and shooting with my kids. If you are on the fence about which suppressor to get, you can't go wrong with 22!!!

I giggle every time my husband uses his and it goes "pfloing"

And yes, that is a technical term.

I shoot my can every single day. It is one thing that I am glad I have above all other gun related items. I can shoot anytime I want without anyone the wiser. And it is always a big hit with the kids. It also makes shooting with children safer as well because they can hear you.

Go ahead and load up on some ammo while waiting for the "privilege" to own a suppressor. Still makes me angry to think we have to go through all the expense and wait to get "approved". But I digress.....

I have found the CCI sub-sonic is very good and very, very quiet. Next in line is CCI standard.

Aquila does not seem to function well in my 10/22 but federal bulk works pretty well.

The quietest 22 ammo I have shot in a semi auto is Winchester subsonic. It is also very quiet in single shots.

SSS is good in single shots and is very quiet. But in a semi auto the port noise is very, very loud.

I recently bought some CCI quiet 22. They do not cycle semi autos but are extremely quiet.
