The FCC has rules. Obscenity violates a specific rule. That's about their limit on regulating content. They simply don't have the power to do any more.

There was actually a recent SCOTUS ruling on the obscenity stuff. It went against the FCC. Don't recall the details.

The news media, by it's own nature is biased and it was intended that way since media has been around,

oh since the 1700's(just guessing). Newspapers and handbills were always biased and never changed.

They were never intended to be any other way. They want you to believe otherwise. Almost always they

wanted you to think they were just giving accurate accounts, but it's never been the case. They might

slip something in that has no value to them, but is actual news, but that doesn't make them anything more

than their original design.

Just the nature of that beast.
