I dunno why the thread is wide, LOL not that it matters anyway.

The color of the frame looks great, it really is a pretty revolver. They really did a good job with it. I am cluelessas to how it is color case hardened but I sure like the look of it.

Now you got to get out and put some powder through it. Too bad you cold not make it to Mark's yesterday. We would have gotten some smoke out of it for sure.

Yea I wish I could have, but I got to go to our meet & shoot for the first time & had a blast.

There was one guy there shooting .45 cartrige rifle & pistol in BP. It was nice to watch.

Musicman posted a couple of pics of our shoot in the Middle Tenn Meet & shoot thread.

.45 cartrige rifle & pistol in BP.

Thats awesome. I can shoot .45 Colt out of my '58 Remington. I love the versatility that being aboe to do that gives that pistol. The only downside being the cost of the conversion cylinder and the cost of .45 Colt cartridges. I hope to soon be able to reload .45 Colt. And when I can do it I want to do it with black powder rather than smokeless. Goex makes cartridges with the black as well.

Glad you got to get out and shoot with some people. Always more fun sahring the sport with others.

One? Hah. Dangit, Mike...

Actually, though, I might just bite on that one, if the Possibles shop still has 'em. Can't beat the price for a steel framed gun.

Problem is, though, I can get a pair of MN-44's for the same price.... what to do, what to do....

Well, between my watch schedule and my old shipmates' work schedule, I have a window of maybe 2 hours to get to the gun shop sometime this week. I'll try. Will pick up some ammo, too. 4 bucks a box, kind of steep for 7.62x54R surplus, but it is nice brass cased reloadable stuff. Not that I have to worry about reloading for that caliber!

I'm at 4 (6 counting flintlocks) BP pistols at this point. I'd kind of like to get a walker one of these days, but otherwise I'm fairly well covered in that department. I think so far the '62 police is my favorite. Not because of the fluted cylinder, but because of the smaller frame. Now if I'd found it with a 5.5 inch barrel...

I was in the outfitters shop today drooling over a nice leather scabbard for my rifle and some leather for my pistol...

I also spent a few dinars on ammo. I really need to start shopping online for that stuff..

that's a pretty pistol XD! I like the hand grips...really nice!

Tower, I thought the grips looked a little funny to me. I thought it was the screw, but I have seen others with the screw & thay didn't look as bad (to me). Then I dissasembled it & realized the were acually plastic!

I guess the plastic is where they cut the corners to sell then cheaply.

The wood is comming very slow Mark, matter of fact I haven't started on them.

I need to take it all back to work & do it after hours there.

I acually got my mom to shoot it this weekend, I think she liked it because she shot two rnds through it haha.
