Theaters in Knoxville that are not posted?

Recommended Posts

Two things here:

As I understand it going past any signage in TN regardless of being aware of it or not is an automatic felony which I discussed with someone this weekend that said they were not sure. Anyone who can point the way for me there I would appreciate it for clarification. I looked and, well just have not taken the time to verify myself.

The main point for me is can folks post places they know where one may find a movie in the Knoxville area. Just figured folks know of some rather than spending a tank of gas wondering about checking them out.

The one we typically went to I have never seen signage on, but apparently their corporate policy states no weapons so I will respect it and go elsewhere, or nowhere. Much cheaper to get a free rental on Red Box.

Not any signage. Just proper signage.

I have no clue why people go to the movies... much cheaper to wait until the video comes out on DVD or even pay per view, and watch it at home... save the money you would have spent at the movies on overpriced tickets, drinks, and food... buy yourself a new large screen tv...

My wife and I haven't been to a movie theater in 6 years, and we don't miss it at all, my recliner is a lot more comfortable, the food is cheaper, and there is a pause button when I need to run to the bathroom.

Oh yeah and I don't have to worry about no carry signs.

All of that for a lot less money... normal movie outing for 2 adult is $40-50... my house, $4-5... no lines, no loud cell phones...

Why do people go to the movies again?

I only had to invest in a theater ticket, not a new home entertainment system. :)

Wife wanted, wife bought. It's her money, I just sit back and enjoy. She even lets me hold the remote control. She understands that it's necessary for the good of my manly nature

Well I can certainly see why people go to the movies, it is a different experience than home viewing. Whether its better or worse than home viewing depends on how you rank the theater experience vs. your home setup.

That being said, for all the reasons you listed, I waaaayyyyyyy prefer to watch at home. I go out to perhaps one movie per year (or even less).

Turkey creek theater has an itty bitty teenie weenie circled gun with a slash through it on a sheet of rules hidden in each side of the ticket booth. I was escorted out by the cop that stays in there because I dropped my change and my shirt came up and showed my pistol when I picked it up. He said it was legal but understood how bad it sucked, just let me secure it in the truck.

If I remember correctly the theater entrance in the mall also has a gun buster in the wall, but i'm not sure.
