Bet you'll wear a rubber next time! :puke:

:D

The private problem had nothing to do with anything like that.

Great time today Phantom6!. Thanks for hosting us. Can't wait to do it again next time. Was nice meeting some new faces like Suntzu and Grimel. I apologize for not knowing the names of several other of our fine members in attendance. But they were fine fellows as well. It was also nice seeing Dotsun and his lovely wife as well as Scottech and his shooter son Corey. Shadow 12 showed up a little late but is always a lot of fun to be around.

My daughter shot a pistol for the first time today. While she was not an expert marksman she showed a lot of imoprovement over the near 100 rounds of 9mm she shot. She also sent lead down range from my .357 and SAS .22 magnum.

She told me that she enjoyed shooting the "Zebra" rifle best of all. And she did great with that. Ringing the heck out of the steel plates.

Here is the only pic I have from today

PS: Mike, get in touch with me when that "little" package arrives to your shop. :D

Good meeting you all today, good times. I know Seaslug got a bunch of pictures he plans on posting on here sometime soon. Mike.357, thanks for letting me shoot your Henry, its a great rifle, I'll definitely have to pick one up. Was that any sort of upgrade on the wood or anything? The wood on it looked great!

Another excellent shoot. It was great meeting all the new folks and seeing you old bastar... er, I mean regulars as well. Thankfully we had enough firepower to keep the mutant ninja spiders at bay.

I have never seen a spider steal a golf ball before. Freaky. It was nice to have artillery at the shoot as well. The roaming gnome, sadly, was shot down with extreme prejudice.

Mike.357, I thought for sure that you were going to run a solo bayonet charge when you emptied your rifle.

It was great to meet and shoot with everyone, finally.

Thanks Dotsun. She's in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. Spent a week in the hospital recently. She used to be a brilliant lady. It's really sad seeing her this way. But you have to go with what you got. What's the old saying about wishing in one hand? :P

I'll put you in my prayers; Alzheimer's took one of my grandmothers and one of my grandfathers. It is a monsterous thing.

Certainly a good time was had by all in attendance. For those of you that missed it well, you missed it.

Didn't know that we had spiders damned near big enough to return fire. Good thing I never go up unarmed.

Nice to meet you Seaslug and 70below. It's always good to see the regulars and always good to have new faces join us.

Next time we'll do a little something special.

Mike, thanks for the Killian's shirt.

Damn, I'm almost glad I didn't go if there are spiders big enough to steal golf balls. I think next time i go up there I'm blousing my boots and borrowing gramp's .357 and holster.

Ugh. Still halfway sick. Gonna go eat something now.

Once again, Corey and I had a great time. Thanks to Mike for being our host.

BTW Mike, my elbow has actually popped back into place after it popped out while shooting that 12 Gauge Pistol! :D

What fun it was to sit around at the end of the day after shooting and listen to everyone (mostly Sam) telling jokes and war stories.:D

Okay guys, here are some pics from the shoot (finally). I had a pic of the spider too, but he asked that I not post it (what the giant spider wants, the giant spider gets). It was really great meeting everyone. Can't wait to do it again!

But y'all had enough firepower to make the giant mutant spider go bye-bye into mist. You should post it anyways.

You obviously didn't see THIS spider...

Awesome, thanks for posting the pics. Man who's that seeexxxy guy sitting on the truck bed?

Yeah don't speak so flippantly of the arachnid, Cody. He'll be there in a couple of months waiting...

.30-06SPRG and .270WIN oughta do the trick. .223 can take out a Camel Spider. Oh, and .357mag if I can convince gramps to let me borrow it.

Hard to shoot what you can't see, they have a tunnel network that would make Kim Jong Ill wet himself. I'm quite sure they had us surrounded and only their quickest scouts actually came out to investigate the noise. I have to wonder if Mars didn't train these guys.

Have you seen Starship Troopers? Yeah, it was like that.

The howitzer with the bayonet was enough.

Outstanding pics Seaslug. Thanks for posting 'em.

Cody you may have hit on something when you said "gas" regarding the spiders. I'll make up some foo-gas and set up a trip wire around the parimeter of the grassy area in the middle of the range and stake out one of John's horses as bait to draw the big ugly suckers out of their bunker complex.
