To preface this Im newish to TN by way of NH...

I see Chuck has the NRA's endorsement w/ a grade of 'A'. Im surprised by this b/c several months ago I wrote to him about Fast & Furious et al. His response was basically he's too involved w/ other things to care. To my knowledge he's really not weighed in on this yet. Anyone know on what basis the NRA is endorsing him? An 'A" grade is supposed to mean he's solidly pro-gun but what votes/positions has he given that would substantiate that? I know of none.

That said, none of the other candidates have any grade which I suppose means they didn't answer the NRAs questions. Even so a Wamp ad implies he's pro-gun via the clip where he's shooting a HG w/ a partner. I hope he's not depending on that alone.

Don't know how you all feel but none of the field has much to offer. I know last time Van Ironing (Im sure I have his last name wrong...sorry about that) sounded like a pretty good guy. However, thats not how the voters of my district felt. Politics in TN is odd. TN is supposed to be a red state but vote otherwise. Guess I could use a bit of schooling on local politics. NH was way easier to figure out.

If that's a fair synopsis of what he said, I'm a bit surprised. But on the other hand, just what exactly is he supposed to do about it, unless he's on Issa's committee? You can look up and see whether he voted yea on the Holder contempt, I'd wager that he did.

He's not my rep, but I'm inclined to suggest y'all keep him, so far so good. I think senators should get one term but reps should get 3 to match same time period.

Though I guess we could do worse than Duncan here, he's now been a career pol just as long as his Daddy.

Career politicians are perhaps the main reason for the corruption we call Washington, and unfortunately unforseen by the founding fathers.

I agree with Duncan, he needs to go, and so do the other career politicians.
