AR barrel recommendations

Need a barrel made for AR. Any suggestions who would be good to use? Prefer to keep my money local [TN] but don't have to. Shopping for price right now, but I'll be buying one in a week or so.

16" carbine gas, 1 in 10 twist, .300 blackout.

CMMG seems to be floating around everywhere, but all I can find are 1:7 or 1:8 twist.

But they're priced right and I THINK all their barrels are Melonite/nitrocarbed.

Looks like I am going to end up rolling the dice on a 1/8. It's a little too fast for cast boolits but some people are getting good results.

You know, Hero Gear had a good rifle guy for a while, and a bunch of good blanks when they were rolling their own ARs. It might be worth giving them a call and inquiring.

What about Colt? Just saw on gun talk today that they're coming out with a .300 blackout in the fall.

Almost any current produciton Blackout is going to be a 8 twist gun. He is looking for a 10 twist.

Might be searching for 300 Whisper barrels instead of 300 Blackout barrels. Most of the Whisper barrels were 10 twist while most of the Blackout barrels are 8 twist.
