Having a custom 1911 built, been collecting them for years, just purchased a Kimber Gold Match too, but the collection didnt have what I wanted. Went on vacation to PA and hit around 25 gun shops in PA, MD, DE, VA, and W. VA. Found this one in Fredericksburg, VA. Will be home from vacation Wednesday to pick it up.

1944 Ithaca. All correct, original finish.

Nice. My great grandfather left my dad a 1944 Remington Rand, all original. Still functioned great. He sold it to buy a big screen tv.

I had an Ithaca reissue when I was in the Army. Neat peice of history to hold. How much did that run you, if you don't mind me asking?

Looks like a very nice piece. I've always been a nut for Ithaca shotguns, and thought I'd like to have an Ithaca 1911-A1. Just haven't found one I was willing to pay for, and I'm not sure I've ever seen one nicer than yours. Heck, you know how to vacation!
