G&R Tactical carries them, though they are out of stock at the moment. I'd sign up to be notified. A1 folks there.

You could also have and extension added to the factory barrel. Might be less than buying a new barrel. When I had it done it generally cost around $100-$125.

What the smith does is thread the factory barrel. Screw an extension onto the barrel with sleeve retainer to hold it in place. Then turn it down to the factory barrel's OD. Then thread the extension for whatever thread pitch you want.

Another reason to do this is you know, without a doubt, the threads are concentric to the bore. Another advantage is the original barrel length is kept the same. Longer barrels, even by a 1/2" can increase velocity to supersonic in some rounds.

You can get a factory threaded barrel for around $100-125. I wouldn't mess with extensions or a gunsmith when I could get a factory barrel for the same price.

Thanks a lot. I really wanted a factory threaded barrel, that is my first choice. Any ideas of where I can find one?

Haha, my M&P VTAC...... I've actually been thinking of getting rid of it. I was going to get a suppressor for it but I've put those plans on indefinite hold.

Otherwise I would call S&W or keep an eye on ARFCOM's EE
