Gaming laptops

well I am in the market for a new Gaming Laptop (living conditions wont allow for a desktop) and I am pretty lost. right now I am inbetween and ASUS G-74 refurb and a New M14x (slightly upgraded) but I cant pull the trigger until I know there isnt a better deal out there.

Also on the M14 is it worth upgrading the screen from 720p to 900p since it is on 14"?

Let me see, but a laptop, when the bad guy comes at you hit him with it.

Or, but a pistol and ammo and shoot the bad guy.

I vote for the pistol and ammo.

Sorry man I cant help myself sometimes, I have no idear as to a laptop.

I am using a $25.00 yardsale laptop right now.

I'm not going to sit here and research laptops for you all night, but the 17" screen with an i5 and 8GB of RAM would be my choice out of those two. 14" screen would suck for gaming and Alienware don't mean #### to me anymore since Dell bought them.

Look into Sager. They're killer laptops, made from the same chassis as (pre-Dell) Alienware and Falcon NW. Best of all, it's a small company and they don't outsource their customer support. Because they're small and do their own support, if you call them with a problem, you might get voice mail, but they guarantee a call-back in less than 24 hours, and it won't be a unskilled idiot reading from a flow chart, it'll be a card-carrying geek, maybe even the one who built your laptop.

alright I will look into them. As for more ammo and guns my tail is stuck at Fort Lee for the next six months so I can really use that.

P.S The Army loves sing alongs :P

What games are you playing? How hard is the laptop going to have to work?

I am looking to play all of the games that usually come out on the Xbox and PS3 but since I have to lock everything up before we leave the barracks everyday a laptop would be the most conviniant (and it saves space)

I don't know squat about gaming laptops , however my 19 yo brother-in-law is a HUGE gamer and he has a Sager. With all the upgrades and such it ran about $2000. All I know is that all his friends are jealous, haha.

Never been much into gaming but for the longest time I wanted an Alienware machine, but that was before they went to sh*t when Dell bought them. Sager gets a lot of praise whenever I look into the subject.

2161 Machinest when class picks up in August. right now I am looking at either a MSI or Alienware (for the awesome factor alone pretty much) as I can get a decent rig for about 1k...
