On the fourth of July, my church for a number of years has been the sponser or provider of fireworks in Vonore, for a community showing. Honestly, the fireworks show is quite good, on the lake and is very enjoyable. Leading up to the shows, my church always throws a huge event whereas they provide hot dogs and drinks to the community. Typcialy 1,000-2,000 locals attend for a congreational church of 300. This year, we had a guest speaker, Randy Kington, Marine, medically retired, from Morristown. He is a disable Vietnam Vet, paralized from the chest down. All I can say is WOW! What a 20 minute testimony about this life, the patriotism, his service, and accomplishments. I bought his book about his life, What A Life, and just finished reading it. If all could be like Mr. Randy Kington, this place would be fantastic. BTW if you are a Vietnam Vet, and have some issues from the War, after reading, I somewhat know what you might be going through, but reading it just ease 1/10th of your pain.

Just wandering if any of you have read his book or know him or met him.

In case he is a TGO guy, Thank You Mr. Kington for sharing your story and for your service and great scarifice, above all your testimony. Semper Fi!

Here is link: http://www.randykington.com/ It does show his speaking engagements schedule. I truly encouage you to sit in. Most of his engagements are at churches, and if you are not a church going kinda of guy, still go just to listen to this fine Marine speak.
