Saw this on Brobible the other day. Absolutely awesome.

I enjoy his videos for what they are.

However...

They never show that it takes twenty takes for each segment, and when in a 'one time only' scenario (such as the WRC...) Ken Block consistently fails to perform.

With that said, I wouldn't challenge him to a race. And even though we only see the final product, he is a hell of a precision driver.

You can tell it takes multiple takes from all the marks that are left on the road from the other runs.

Never seen an F1 driver hop in a car and run a track wide open until they've put a full day's practice in on the track either.

Yeah, but at the end of the day they only get one shot at it, regardless of how many practice runs they had.

Ken Block gets to film it a few dozen times until he has it right for the film.

Don't get me wrong, I love his videos and I think they are great, however I just want folks to look at his record for the WRC and tell me he is the world's greatest driver. When he has one chance to get it right, he consistently doesn't.

Oh he's nowhere near the top of the list as an actual racer but he is at the top of the list for showmanship. No matter what it is, everything takes practice so doing 10 or 20 takes to do those scenes is really nothing.

Some things make me tingle, AWD burnouts and badass sequential gearboxes are 2 of them.
