This time of the year, you'll find that most of the deer, does and bucks, are nocturnal. And with the heat we've been having they are moving even more at night.

Saw a nice looking 6 or 8 pointer on Natchez Trace tonight. Tons of deer out there, wish I could hunt it.

My wife wanted a garden this year. I told her we could have one. But I borrowed a tiller and made her one. The deer are standing in it when we leave in the mornings. This morning I saw 20 to 40 doe, the first buck must of had 10 or 12 points. Then I stopped the truck, hit the high beams. My wife saw it to from her car. We have a non-typical. It looked like he had a forest on his head. I'll pull a permit and get that one soon.

I clicked on this thinking what in the world is the "frist buck." I see you mean "first buck." My curiousity is settled, carry on.

Saw a nice tall 10 pointer this afternoon. No doubt he's the offspring of a deer I have seen twice in the last three years. His daddy, if he's still around, has got to be a 160+ buck this year. He was a solid 150 last year, but I only saw him 1 time all season and that was from the truck.
