Romney. That was an easy question.

Romney for one or several reasons actually. Mainly because if people start voting for Paul the vote could be split and we don't gain anything except another term of Obama trying to sell us to the Russians. Romney may not be any better but I would rather have a liberal Republican in than a liberal/socialist Democrat. It's a good thing to stand behind your candidate but in this case the incumbent needs to go.

Yuup...that's a VERY easy question.

I have said before and I mean it when I say that I admire the passion of RP supporters but come on; RP has tried and been rejected every single time and it wasn't even a close call any of those times.

It's fine to continue to like him and wish for him to be president but It's LONG past time to move on and support the viable candidate; especially when we are talking about defeating the Communist in Chief currently defiling the Oval Office.

So, by the math, if everyone who stated voting for Paul would be throwing their vote away, actually voted for Dr. Paul, he would win.

Being that I am exposed to the full gamut of the political spectrum, I've found that many swing voters and disgruntled democrats would support Dr. Paul but not Romney. For the most part it is because of the bitterness between the parties and the lack of trust of Romney. They all agree that at least they know where Dr Paul stands and based on his record what he would support or veto. I do realize that barring unforeseen circumstances, that Romney will get the nomination and I am not implying otherwise.

I do recall though that in the 2008 election, there was a certain unknown from Illinois who had no chance of winning. I can't recall his name now.

The difference between Ron Paul and that unknown from Illinois is that the unknown from Illinois wasn't really all that unknown (he made a big splash in 2004 at the Democrat convention) and he also won his party's nomination four years later.

If RP had won the nomination he would certainly have a legitimate shot in November.

RP would be the dream candidate for gun owners, but I truly have a distaste for his willingness to allow legalization of drugs. Romney will be OK, I believe he can help stabilize the economy and won't be a disaster when it comes to important social issues such as gun control.

Actually, by the results of a whole season worth of primaries, he lost.

Totally missed my point, but don't worry about it. Haters gonna hate.

Romney, because I love America too much to allow a commie dictator to stay in the WH. Any vote other than Romney means keeping the dictator for four more years or more.

Armyveteran37214 REALLY needs to seek treatment for his OCD because judging by the content of his posts that's exactly what he has. No, it's not dissen because I have OCD too - just not this kind.

RP lost; get over it! You either support the Communist In Charge or you support Romney...period!

Yeh, I understand how your head feels from the spinning; Obama has been making mine and everyone else's head spinning since he declared himself a communist dictator. It even hurts when I think about how his policies are destroying our once great nation.

Yuup...just yesterday he single-handedly and illegally gutted the welfare reform that required work to receive welfare and I also heard just this morning that of the great sales numbers GM has been reporting; 75% of them have been sales to the government - this communist is daily working to dismantle our free-market economy.

+1

I hope people understand just what the campaigner in chief did buy gutting welfare reform. His thinking is the more people on the government teet the more votes for him, same with his gay rights and immigration moves.

Shameless low-down skunk this idiot is.

Now here's a story where he plays dumb to just what he did. :poop:

I can attest to the USDA forest service getting a mess of new trucks with what appears to be a pretty good mix of GMs and Fords.

That is a really pathetic outlook. Either someone votes the way you and others vote or they are supporting Obama. I get so tired of hearing this crap. This country wasn't founded and wars to protect individual liberties were not fought so citizens could have a choice between either the Republican or Democrat candidate. I believe, even though I don't always act on it, is that an individual should vote their conscience and who they like best. Those (myself included) that engage in some half-baked political strategy should not criticize those who choose not to participate.

I wish a lot of people would listen to what they say or read what they write. Individuals who desire a positive change in this country's direction are being criticized for it because they are going to vote according to their desire. Ron Paul is out, and he is not coming back this election. However, Johnson is still running and is ever bit as conservative/libertarian as Paul. Those that vote for Johnson are not electing or supporting Obama; they are doing the exact opposite. The only people who are supporting and electing Obama are the ones who will be voting for him. It is only those people who deserve an abundant amount of criticism.

I am trying hard not to become a cynic, but this election cycle has made it very difficult. I often wonder if Carlin had it right when he said our only real choice in this country is paper or plastic.

Warning! Bad language, not safe for work.

Not pathetic; and maybe not the best way to say it but I would say it's just a recognition of the outcome when a vote is split.

The Republican nominee is the only candidate with a realistic opportunity to beat Obama. Unless one was planning on voting for Obama from the start, not voting for the Republican nominee because a person's favorite didn't get the nomination will, at the very lest, help keep Obama in office. We can argue about how 'much" it helps Obama but I see no way around the general conclusion that not voting for Romney will help Obama.
