Hello to all, New here, Seems like a great place. I was just wondering how many of you shoot traditional style muzzleloaders. I have both but really like my traditional M/Ls the best. Not trying to start a debate or anything. Just wondering.

I have one, but haven't shot it in awhile. It's all shined up over the mantle, the wife gets antsy when I start talking about shooting it...

I have been thinking about a long smoke pole. I think if I ever do go in that direction it will be a flinter.

Definitely have no interest in a newfangled centerline muzzle loader.

And welcome to the TGO

I have a TC Seneca with the .45 and .36 barrels. I enjoy its size. My brother is very much into traditional MLs.

I shoot cap lock rifles, mostly T/C brand. My next rifle will likely be a flintlock. I love traditional styled black powder arms. I use real black powder too.

Welcome to the forum.

I've got three flintlocks: One is a production 2nd. Model Brown Bess, in .75 calibre - it's got a 42 inch barrel. The next is a semi-custom circa 1815 style Tennessee Rifle in .50 calibre, also with a 42 inch barrel. My favorite one is a custom circa 1730s Trade Gun, modeled after a Wilson, but with a buttstock that is closer to a Tulle. It is very graceful. It is a .62 calibre smoothbore, with a 48 inch barrel.

Loading out of the pouch and horn, and shooting off-hand is what I enjoy, but I'm also into the historical aspect of it pretty heavy...
