I've got a new Hornady L&L but never reloaded before. Is there someone south of Nashville (I live in Columbia) that would give me one lesson? I could bring my gear if you want (it's not set up yet) or we could load on yours. I've got plenty of cases (some preprimed), bullets, primers and Varget powder.

I've read through just about everything I could get my hands on and I think that I can do this. Should I just dive into it or would a lesson from someone who has done it be better?

Thanks!

Honestly, its not that hard if you watch a couple of how-to videos on the web and follow basic, starter load data or even weaker (308 can be dropped all the way down to below 30-30 power to start out, if you do not need a shoulder thumping adventure and just want a short range (200 or so yards) plinker.

If you need help I would be happy to show you (I can set up for 308 pretty quickly but you might bring some empty cases, I dunno if I have any empties), but I would give it a try first, then if you have questions, you can ask. The 2 things to keep an eye on is to never forget to lube your case (well, when you do this once, you won't forget again anyway...!!!) and pay attention to your powder quantity (just pay attention, be precise and careful as you work).

Would be a long drive, probably someone closer to you but if you want to drive down here, I am happy to go over it...
