I am pretty sure I can, but does anyone know for sure? There is no County Code. They operate off the State Code. I didn't find anything in Tennessee Code Annotated which states when or how I can use a firearm for target practice. I live in a "conservation" subdivision or something like that but have no homeowners association or other regulations to deal with.

Okay, so unless I'm hunting and within 100 yards of a visible house I'm okay. :D

I've never hunted, but at the top of my property in the subdivision there are all kinds of deer. It is about 100 yards away from the nearest house...Do they measure the 100 yards from where you shoot or where the target is? I doubt the lady next door would give me permission.

The 100 yards is from where you shoot. Unless you fall within a city limit, like Brentwood or Franklin, you should be fine.

There are some absolutely huge deer in suburban williamson and davidson county.

I could open the doors on my porch and take some big deer, but my house is too close to the neighbor. Maybe I'll ask her permission just in case. I wonder if they eat flowers or plants at her house...

I know several guys that have gotten permission that way. Deer do a lot of damage to landscaping. Usually they get permission to hunt with a bow but you never know unless you ask.
