Got a 17 year old that wants to go shotgun shooting (Clay's) with a friend who is 18 years old... is that a problem under TN law, or does a parent, or over 21 adult, need to be present?

Really?? You can buy a long gun and ammo at 18 years of age. Why would a adult need to be present to hunt with a long gun. I'm not a hunter but i may learn something today. Please advise..........

AFAIK there's nothing in the weapons section of TCA that requires supervision of a minor with a long gun at all.

Hunting, minors can't use handguns, other than that don't know what the TWRA supervisory provisions are, if any.

Check the policy of the range where they will be shooting. They may (and some do) require an adult 18 or older to be present.
