Magnum Research DE 1911 G Model

I am wanting something different in a 1911 and have been looking and doing some so called research online.

I didnt want

Springfield

Colt

Sig

Rock Island

Or most any other sub 1K 1911s out there

Until I seen this one

Any thoughts or reasons to NOT buy this one?

They seem to be getting a pretty good reputation. The only thing some people do not like about them is the large "billboard" down the left side of the slide.

seem to have gotten good reviews.

I dunno, the tight wad in me would probably get a Citadel instead though. Since being bought out by Kahr, makes me wonder if Magnum Research's customer service has gone downhill as well.

I put my hands on one yesterday, it was tight seemed well made. The slide release was extremely tight though. The price was a good selling point they had a ruger for the same price, If I was buying that day I would have picked the ruger or Springfield though. I already own 3 1911's but i want about 6 more lol.
