Anyone build a YHM AR-15

Recommended Posts

I was offered to participate in a group by for $165 for a stripped Yankee Hill Machine AR-15 upper/lower. Its such a great price that I don't want to pass it up. Has anyone dealt with stripped uppers/lowers and can vouch for their fit/quality? Pics?

I used a YHM A3 upper on my 300blk build and the quality and fit is good with the DPMS lower that I used. However, the finish is slightly different than that particular lower so it doesn't look as uniform as I would have liked. I don't doubt that it would match perfectly with a YHM lower though. I'll try to post pictures later today.

I used a YHM stripped upper on my 300 Blackout build as well. Haven't shot the rifle yet. It's fine. Went together with no problems. Spike's Lower receiver.

Note that I hit this with a silicone cloth, and didn't do a good job. The finish is real consistent. I just missed a few spots.
